Dan J.  Kelly

Mr.  Kelly completed his undergraduate education at San Jose State College, obtaining a degree in 1963.  His legal education was obtained at the University of Santa Clara, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Santa Clara Law Review, 1967-68.  In addition, he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta.

Mr.  Kelly is the author of:  "California Restores Additur," Santa Clara Law Review, 1967; "Updating the California Guest Statute," Hastings Law Journal, 1971; "The Workable Sanction and Solution in Excess Liability Cases:  Strict Liability for Insurance Carriers," University of San Francisco Law Review, 1976, and the co-author of:  "Attorney Malpractice in California:  A Shaky Citadel," Santa Clara Lawyer, 1971; "Hospital Liability:  Changing Patterns of Responsibility," University of San Francisco Law Review, 1974 and "The California Practice Guide:  Personal Injury," The Rutter Group, 1984-2000.  He is also a member of the Board of Regents, Santa Clara University as well as a member of the Board of Visitors, Santa Clara University School of Law since 1980, and Chairman, 1991.  He is a fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers.

He is a member of The Bar Association of San Francisco; The State Bar of California; The San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (President, 1981); The Consumer Attorneys of California; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America; The American Board of Trial Advocates (Chapter President, 1994); The International Society of Barristers (First Vice President, 2002-); and The International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
